Whilst reading "why men hate going to church" i was struck by one of the chapters which explores the concept of the "thermostat of church values". It asks the question is our thermostat set to challenge or to comfort?
I worked up this idea a little into a reflection exercise for our leadership team; trying to gauge where our thermostat is set and if it makes any difference. As a cell church we also examined a little if our church thermostat might actually be set at the same temperature as our cell temperature.
Anyway, I will put some more details here is due course and a series of attachments that you can use if you would like to experiment yourself.
